I really wish I could find a way or someone to restore the box cameras for me. They're absolutely beautiful, but need to be cleaned up. The black one you can see through, which is really neat.

I can't believe nobody commented on this post! I love this, and I'm so jealous y'all had the chance to get those pieces of history! I'm a history major, and love this kind of stuff. Was his grandfather in the military, like during WWI or WWII? Is that where his medals are from, maybe? I also love the old books. You should see what edition they are, because first editions can be worth some money. And the comics! They seem to be in such good shape for having been in a barn. I love your discoveries!
ReplyDeleteAgreed Krysta! This post is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Central PA and I absolutely love going through my grandparents' antiques. Our state has a wealth of history.
Just curious, were the "Old Photographs" from anywhere in Gettysburg or Lancaster? That rocking chair looks Amish-made for sure!!!
Enjoy these =]
