I've recently purchased or organized some things around the house lately and wanted to share.
The tote along caddy I bought from
HomeGoods earlier this month is now our remote holder. So much nicer than moving 3 remotes every time we eat at the coffee table.
I have cutting boards that are food specific -- one set is
Casabella silicone cutting boards
and I'm not sure what the other set is. I bought it from
Housewares Deals though. I decided to hang them inside my cookware cabinet using 3M Command Hooks. So much easier to just grab what I need while I'm cooking when they're hanging separately.
When we moved into our apartment I bought new cookware because our other stuff was cheap and ruined. I decided to splurge and buy
Circulon Infinite cookware
. I hand wash it so it doesn't get ruined and bought kitchen washcloths to put in between the pots and pans so they don't scratch each other. Genius. (This was actually Chris' idea.)
I am absolutely loving my new office shelf/filing drawer combo and digital picture frame. When I
blogged about these two items previously, I hadn't really used the frame. I turn it on every day and absolutely
love it. It's so clear and has beautiful color. I can't wait to see what my wedding pictures look like in it when I get the disk. I put the
oval tub from HomeGoods on the shelf and have stocked it with office supplies.
I bought a new mat for in front of the sink in the kitchen. (Jazz thinks he needs to be in every picture that involves the floor.) It's a cushiony mat from Target. Absolutely love it. And it's easier to clean than the previous blue rug we had.
We also went to Target this week and bought new lamps for the bedroom. I hated the old ones. They weren't very bright and they smelled like burning plastic when they were on for more than 5 minutes. (Not sure why since they weren't made of plastic.) I've been wanting to purchase these lamps since Target first got them earlier this month, but I didn't want to pay $19.99 a piece. This week they're on sale for $12 each. Score!
